Jeb Bush Cautions Republicans on ’Tone’ Without Endorsing Anyone  As the Republican primary moves to Florida, popular former Governor of the state, Jeb Bush cautions GOP on their tone on immigration and other issues. “At the same time, Bush said his party’s candidates should adjust the “tone” of their debate on issues such as illegal immigration to start appealing to independent-minded voters in “swing states” such as Florida with a history of voting for either major party. These voters are likely to decide the outcome of the 2012 presidential election.”

Spanish ad Meanwhile Newt Gingrich has gone on the air in the state with Spanish language advertisements accusing Mitt Romney of being anti-immigrant. “Newt Gingrich has gone on the air with a Spanish-language ad on Miami radio stations accusing his rival Mitt Romney of being “anti-immigrant” and using one of former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro’s favorite phrases.

Mexican Cousins Keep Romney’s Family Tree Rooted In Mexico Mitt Romney’s family brings to light the long history of polygamy his family south of the border has engaged in for years. “Romney’s father, George, was born in the state of Chihuahua, in a colony of polygamous Mormons. Romney rarely speaks about the Mexican branch of his family, and he’s never visited his numerous cousins south of the border — but the Romneys of Mexico are all rooting for him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints banned polygamy in 1890, but Mormon leaders quietly sent selected members to Canada and Mexico to continue practicing plural marriage.”

Hi Susan, Your book was faiicnatsng and well written. Your book and Irene’s book gave me a different perspective on polygamy. I had always imagined the polygamous husband to be an oversexed incestuous monster. Yet Verlan seemed like a good and decent man who was only doing what he felt he must do to be exalted in the next life. I imagine his suffering was also great, he and Joel seemed like good hearted souls. Do you think Verlan ever understood the plight of his wives? And do you think he was sad that he never bonded with any of his children? Do you keep in touch with all your former sister wives? Did any of the wives ever get along with Charlotte or Ester? I wondered if you and Irene Spencer are worried about any of the remaining Ervilites? Do you feel they are still a threat? Have you read Ervil’s Book of the New Covenants? I ask because I wonder what was motivating him, was he just pure evil or was it mental illness? Do any of the LeBarons feel that they must still remain in hiding? What ever happened to Verlan’s sister, the one who was held prisoner in her adobe home? Also Ross LeBaron, Jr. is in the news of late, did you know his father Ross, Sr.? Was pure seed ever an issue with any of the polygamist families you knew in Mexico?Thank you Susan for writing a great and honest book! I am so glad you decided to share your story.SMH

I’m sorry, but you are an irognant fool LA Bueche. You think we can maintain what we are, as Americans, when our founding Anglo-Protestant culture is destroyed? You think it’s a coincidence that Latin American looks the way it does, and that Anglo-America looks the way IT does? It’s not. We need to resist Latinization of the US with all our might. I too am a Californian — native born, and old enough to remember the paradise that was Anglo-California even as shorta time ago as the 1980s. And I have seen the “changes” the Mexicans have brought when coming en masse. None of them are good. Drug gangs planting dope on our national parks and destroying the pristine wilderness. Big problem, maybe you should look into it some time. Gang graffitti in every public space. Upsurge in the US of Third World diseases like medicine resistant TB. Failing schools — Anglo-California had the top schools in the nation in the 50s and 60s — today we are number 49 out of 50. Failing hospitals — 70 hospitals shut down because of illegals. Massive environmental degradation — maybe you should come north sometimes and see what the Central Valley looks like now? Mountains of trash on each side of the freeway, scarring a landscape that was once an incredibly beautiful vista of bucolic farm life, stretching for miles and miles. Now a trash dump. 600 drug gang murders a year in LA, 200 a year in the Bay Area, and GROWING. Oh, and have you seen the Aztlanista movements? They are not non-violent that is for sure. Many are openly advocating ethnically cleansing white people from California. I weep for my homeland.Hollywood has to be bribed by Traitoraigosa to film in LA these days because IT LOOKS LIKE A GODDAMN THIRD WORLD SHITHOLE. Who would want to make a movie there anymore?
